FOUNDER AND DIRECTOR
FERNANDO CORRAL
Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic
Fernando Corral is a senior at Carol Morgan School in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic whose academic interests range from Data Science to Political Science. In school Fernando helps his community by tutoring peers, and is also a co-founder of Champions for a Change where he led partnership efforts with “Fundación Manos Unidas por Autismo” to educate the public about the needs of children on the autistic spectrum. A competitive tennis player Fernando sought ways to connect his passion for tennis with his interest in community service and social justice. He had already been involved in “Grita Gol” which introduced him to the idea of helping low income students using sports as a medium, in this case soccer. As a sophomore he launched Let’s Ace Finance that seeks to help ball boys in the D.R. to learn financial literacy skills, LAF offers a pathway to independence for low-income students. As a model for the success he hopes to achieve, Fernando has managed to help a ball boy gain financial independence, and move out of the country to gain an education using incentives and a financial plan. More recently Fernando has decided to join a student leader creating a game called “Stock Market Practice” which aims to familiarize students with the stock market in an educational, culturally relevant and entertaining way.

AMBASSADOR & BLOGGER
CHASE GERINGER
Scarsdale, New York, United States
Chase is an 12th-grade varsity ski athlete from Scarsdale, New York. He is a huge sports fan and one his favorite tournaments every year is March Madness. During the covid year, he created 40+ pages of analysis on each team and its different players. He also loves outreach within his Scarsdale community. Every Sunday he volunteers at the JCC- Westchester to help enhance communication and development skills for special needs children. he always feels productive during the 4 hours he is there as he is constantly interacting with the kids. One of my favorite activities to do with them is playing basketball. I have always been a sports fan, but teaching a child with different abilities to shoot a basketball is a special experience. I also want to apply this to BallersForEdReform by it becoming an inclusive environment for all people. I especially want to emphasize the importance of education throughout my project journey.

During his time as a summer analyst on the investment team at Third Point LLC, an activist hedge fund based in New York, he maintained a coverage universe of 15 companies across the TMT sector, constructed financial models, and aided in preparing investment and tactical trade recommendations. LEARNING AND ENGAGEMENT COORDINATOR
STEPHEN POSNER
Vernon Hills, Illinois, United States
Stephen Posner is a junior at Vernon Hills High School with aspirations to study Finance and Business. Ever since he was 12, he was interested in the stock market and finances in general; however, soon realized how few resources there were for gaining financial knowledge, particularly in under-resourced communities. After speaking with an uncle, he was shown that understanding the stock market wasn’t as difficult a process as he’d assumed, which initiated a learning journey he would soon after want to share. The experience gave Stephen the inspiration to create Stock Market Practice - his own website showing anyone and everyone the wonderful, exciting process of Stock Trading. Importantly, the site hopes to plant seeds that help teach students ways to gain financial freedom. Stephen’s goal is to use these learned skills to set himself up for a future where financial stressors are minimal, so that he can contribute philanthropically and as a servant-leader. When he is not researching stocks, he can be seen running long distances to clear his mind and focus. Stephen is also currently serving on my school’s Executive Board, is a part of VH Give (an organization that gives back to my community) and volunteers in my Religious school not just inspiring a love of learning their religion, but more importantly learning values that will carry with them through life. He has also been studying Spanish in a Dual Language program since he was seven and will support Let’s Ace Finance, and his own Stock Market Practice by helping to translate them both into Spanish to increase accessibility and expand their reach.

Adrian is a freshman at University of San Juan, Puerto Rico. As early as his freshman year he held the position of first racket in his collegiate tennis team. However, as much as he is a wonderful player, Castillo is an exemplary person off the court. During his free time during the weeks he would volunteer at Church services. He helped elderly people, taught kids english; however, it was through the little things that Adrian captivated the hearts of his community. Inspired by the help and grace he received from the team Adrian became a fundamental part of “Let’s Ace Finance” helping us connect to tennis players throughout the country.
